Acquisition of new Bobst Visioncut 106 diecutter and an Expertfold 110 A2 folder-gluer
A new BOBST VISIONCUT 106 LE diecutter and an EXPERTFOLD® 110 A2 folder-gluer have replaced a large format diecutter and an older gluer. “Together these new machines have substantially increased our production capabilities“ says Mr Buitendam.
Using camera technology to laterally register the print to the diecutting tools, the system on the Visioncut also reduces stops in production and maintains diecutting quality regardless of variations in the substrate or print. The machine also features Bobst’s Quick Change concept for fast, easy job changeovers, and a CUBE3 touch screen control system for easier operator control. The Visoncut is also a greener machine than its predecessors, being quieter and having features such as the automatic cut-off of compressed air when not required..
The Expertfold is capable of straightline, crashlock and four/six-corner carton production and can run at speeds of up to 450 metres per minute, while an improved back hook system means faster running of four and six corner boxes. The Expertfold features Bobst’s patented blank aligner for fast set up with zero waste, and its patented flipper ejector for maintaining product integrity and quality at full running speed. The CUBE3 touch screen control system on the machine delivers easier operator control as well as benefits such as the off-machine backup of box settings. The line has been supplied with Baumer hhs code and glue detection systems.
